A LETTER FROM OUR VP OF RECRUITMENT!

Hi everyone! My name is Bella Rene, and I am honored to serve as this year's Vice President of Recruitment for Santa Clara Alpha Phi! My time with Alpha Phi Zeta Gamma has been one of the most impactful and rewarding experiences of my college career, and I am incredibly excited to be sharing it with all of you.

When I first went through recruitment, I would have never imagined how much this sisterhood would impact my life. I came to Santa Clara from Chicago, knowing hardly anyone and living thousands of miles away from home. In search of a welcoming community that felt like home, I knew immediately that I would find my forever friends at Alpha Phi and forge my own path. Now, as VP of Recruitment, I am thrilled to lead our chapter in the process of recruiting a new generation of bright, passionate, and kind young women.

Going through the recruitment process can be overwhelming, and honestly, kind of scary. But it is also incredibly fun, and a wonderful way to meet new people. My biggest piece of advice is to trust your instincts and embrace the experience with open arms. Make new connections, be brave, and always stay wholeheartedly true to who you are. Remember that you are searching for a place that feels like home, which is exactly how Alpha Phi feels to me. And I couldn’t be luckier.
